This year, the Youth Philanthropy Project begins its 10th year of grantmaking. The purpose of the Project is to encourage student volunteerism and promote philanthropy by engaging young people in grant decisions. Our youth committee now consists of 24 area high school students who meet monthly to conduct site visits, review proposals outlining youth-driven projects, participate in service projects and promote community service among young people. | |
